Five Things You Could Do With The Time You’ll Save with CombiSave this December

We’re already in November and the strangest year in living memory is coming to a close. The Coronavirus pandemic continues to dominate the news cycle and continues to affect how everyone is living their day to day lives. Many of us are living under strict Tier 2 or Tier 3 conditions, working from home and unable to socialise with others indoors.

Yet if we forget the doom and gloom for just a moment and reflect… how is 2020 nearly over already? Despite months of lockdown, furlough and disruption, the year has still flown by quickly! Towards the end of the year is when you particularly notice how quickly time seems to be flowing by — so it makes it all the more precious to be able to claw back some precious time.

If you’re shielding or living under the strictest restrictions, time might feel like it’s dragging, but even then, our CombiSave device can always save you some time. Easily fitted to your boiler, the CombiSave makes the water running from your taps warm up more quickly, saving a typical family household as much as 28 hours per year! That’s about 2 hours and 2 minutes each month. Imagine what you could do with that extra time! Here are our five suggestions for November…

Enjoy a hearty breakfast

Christmas is a time for enjoying food, isn’t it? Hopefully we all find some extra time to whip up some homemade treats in time for Christmas celebrations, but as if you needed more of a reason to eat and eat, there are TWO days in December celebrating the English breakfast! December 2nd is English Breakfast Day, while December 7th is National Fry Up Stag

Catch up on some of your favourite shows

We sometimes get pangs of guilt when we watch our favourite shows, thinking that we could somehow be more productive than enjoying a Netflix binge. Yet December and Christmas time is the perfect time to take a break, switch on the telly and snuggle down for a few hours. Why not use your 2 hours and 20 minutes to FINALLY watch that film you’ve been meaning to see?

Do some volunteering

December 5th is International Volunteer Day — so why not spread a little kindness and do some volunteering? Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve heard stories of communities coming together to help those who are shielding, bring them shopping and carrying out tasks they couldn’t get out of the house to do themselves. Whether you spend the time making face masks or carrying out deliveries, now is a great time to help those around you.

Do your general Christmas chores

While it’s wonderful to have a couple of extra hours for doing chores or something special you might not otherwise do, there’s lots to catch up with in December ahead of Christmas! Whether it’s wrapping presents, preparing food or putting up the decorations, an extra 2 hours and 20 minutes will help!

Get started on some New Year’s resolutions

Once we cross over into 2021, many of us will be trying to get fit, quit smoking or take up a new hobby for our New Year’s resolutions. But why not get started early and have some good habits in place by the time the new year rolls around? Today is as good a day as any to begin learning a new language, cook more homemade meals or read more — why wait?
