Five Things You Could Do With The Time You’ll Save with CombiSave this April

We’re about to move into April and the year keeps rushing by. The Coronavirus outbreak is dominating the news and also affecting how we live our day to day lives, with the majority of us working from home or having to self-isolate for the coming weeks ahead due to the government lockdown.

Yet if we step back from the bad news and take stock… how are we in the fourth month of 2020 already? The time has flown by! Life can feel like you’re currently combatting the clock so there are few things more precious than being able to claw back some precious time.

If you’re in self-isolation, things might feel like they’re dragging, but our CombiSave device can always save you some time. Easily fitted to your boiler, the CombiSave makes the water running from your taps warm up more quickly, saving a typical family household as much as 28 hours each year!

That’s about 2 hours and 20 minutes each month. Imagine what you could do with that extra time! Here are our five suggestions for April… (we’ve based them in the home in case you are in isolation!)

Watch a classic Bond movie

The latest James Bond film ‘No Time to Die’ was originally due to be released on 3rd April, but due to the Coronavirus, its release has been pushed back to November. Lots of films have had their releases pushed back, so why not catch up with some old favourites instead? With 2 hours and 20 minutes, you could re-watch classic Bonds like ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Live and Let Die’ or ‘Dr No’.

Have a spring clean

If you’re stuck indoors isolating yourself, there are no longer any excuses; it’s time for that spring clean you’ve been putting off for years! It is the right time of year now for a spring clean. Two extra hours means you’ll get a decent start on clearing out the loft, your cluttered garage or the back of that overloaded wardrobe!

Plot an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank

If you’re a fan of practical jokes, 1st April might be one of your favourite days of the year, as April Fools’ Day gives you free rein to plan an amusing prank; why not use your extra time to set something up?

Listen to some music

When it comes to music, television or films, we often get stuck in a rut, watching or listening to the same things over and over. April is Jazz Appreciation Month; why not try out relaxing to some jazz music? If that’s not really your thing, you could try listening to something else completely new; composer Sergei Rachmaninov was born in April, so why not listen to some classical music? It’ll help you unwind in stressful times!

Play a board game

With the school closures, for many of us we’ll be trying to juggle work with keeping our children entertained and stimulated while they’re stuck indoors. With a bit of extra time, you could sit down as a family and play a board game together; whether you prefer the staples like Monopoly or fancy trying a modern classic like Ticket To Ride, the resurgence of table-top gaming in recent years means you’ll be spoiled for choice!
